The red dot is the location of the Rook Commander.
- Brief: Clear Haze, find Rook Commander

- Location: Steamport City - West End Ruins

- Objectives:
- Meet Rook Edwards on the Bridge
- Find the Power Switch on the Upper Path
- Find the Power Switch on the Lower Path
- Find the Rook Commander
- Return to Mission Deployment
- Quest giver: We've sent some Rook scouts down to the West End Ruins in Steamport City, but they've been having trouble with pockets of haze blocking their passage through the area. We have some Ether Tube installations in the area for protection, but someone or something has switched off the power to these tubes, allowing the haze to linger. Make your way through the ruins and clear these pockets of haze, and meet up with the Rook Commander stationed near the factory to fill him in.
- Rook Edwards' remarks after meeting him: Thank you for the assistance, cadet. Our progress in reclaiming the Ruins has been slowed by pockets of Haze spreading throughout the area. Something has been disabling our Ether defenses, and we're unable to reactivate them from up here.
The area below the bridge is infested with Mimics, but if you feel up to the task, I'll open the hatch to the path below. Look for a Power Switch for the Ether Tube grid to clear the pocket on the upper path, and to open a new path. - Commander Carter's remarks after finding him: Welcome to the West End Ruins, [character's class]. Glad to have your assistance as we reclaim this area from the Mimics.
It seems the Mimics in this area have been disabling our defenses. I've never seen this sort of advanced behavior in creatures before... there is definitely something strange going on in Steamport City. We'll be calling on you again soon for assistance.
