Stiltskin Runners are exactly the same as normal Stiltskins, but travel by running at a quicker speed. Opposed to normal Stiltskins, Stiltskin Runners were never spotted when trailblazing.

Aeronaut[]
Shooting just before the stiltskin runner is upon you makes it flash purple, and thus unable to cause contact damage as it runs through the player, plus this method will inflict maximum damage. If circumstances allow, just wait for it to return and repeat.
An alternative, if unable to turn and fire in time, is to simply jump, hover for a bit, let it pass you, and then run after it on the ground, constantly attacking. Because it lacks the ability to turn unless it hits a wall, it cannot do anything if being hit from behind. This is not recommended in smaller areas.
Ferric[]
Crouch before it gets to you and start attacking, when it gets past you turn around and run after him and hit him, or just stop before he turns again crouch and attack. The tumble roll can be a useful tool when attacking a stiltskin runner from behind.
Crag[]
Attack it with your whip as it gets closer, then, when it is almost upon you, jump over it and sweep downward with your whip.

Quest Relevance[]
- The player can kill these or ordinary Stiltskins to acquire 20 Stiltskin Pelts for the sidequest "Stiltksin Pelter" (LW0001).
- This enemy has a Deluxe Bronze trophy available through Admiral Stantons sidequest "Stiltskin Extermination" (AS0002) as well as a Deluxe Silver trophy through the sidequest "Enraged Stiltskins" (AS0032).
- Some Stiltskin Runners will appear in Gearlock Factory during the sidequest "Furniture Supplies" (WY0007) assigned by Wystan while the player is looking for Metal Brackets.
Trophy Farming[]
From the Sewer Entrance checkpoint, move three rooms to the left until you find a long, low, room. This contains 2 Stiltskins and 2 Stiltskin Runners, both of which count towards the Stiltskin trophies.
